安倍元総理襲撃（暗殺）事件が日本の社会全体に及ぼした影響は限りなく大きなものとなった。事件の真相解明と裁判の行方が気になるところだ。本来ならば殺人の現行犯逮捕ということで極刑の域を出ないとは言われているが、事はそう簡単に収拾する状況にでは無い。なぜなら、警察側と医療側の主張の食い違いが鮮明であり、しかも消えた弾丸（致命的な証拠）の行方が不明とのことなので公判で実証するべきものが無くなった。そして、容疑者の複雑性PTSD（心的外傷後ストレス障害）での刑事責任能力の有無も問われるので、裁判員は決断に至るのは難しいと見る。精神鑑定後に起訴か不起訴かになるのはおそらく数年後になる。裁判では迷宮入りになる公算は大であると予測する。
旧統一教会と自民党をはじめとする政治家の深い関係が、国の存亡に関わる非常事態だという意識の薄さを露呈した議員の発言は、日本という国を滅ぼす大きな起因になるはずだ。安倍氏一族が三代にも及ぶ旧統一教会との関わり方は、歴代総理大臣に受け継がれていったが、宗教と権力が一体化して悪用されれば、フランス革命でのロベスピエール的な行動を起こす市民が出できても仕方の無いことなのかもしれない。山上容疑者の行動は決して許される事では無いといっても、万人の本音では必殺仕置人としてのイメージを抱いている。ただ、殺意があっても行動を起こさなければ未遂にも事件にもならないが、だれでも背水の陣でどうにもならなければ、いくら自制心をもっても堪えきれないという心理的な状況にはなるかもしれない。だから、第二、第三の山上容疑者の姿が後に続くという可能性は排除できない。こういう事件をおこさないようにするのが本来の為政者の仕事になるわけだが、現実的にそれを軽視あるいは怠っていたことは事実なので、今後の日本の民主主義が正しい方向に向きを変えるのか、そうでないのかは国民が真剣に考え行動しなければならないだろう。日本の二大政党時代が来たら解決できる可能性は大きいが、あと半世紀はかかるだろうし、それまで日本という国が存在しているかどうか予測はできない。この国の終わりの形がこのまま続くのを私は望んではいない。
